Founded in 1978 by Barry Brown, we have been representing and nurturing Actors for over thirty years. Many of Barry’s original clients remain with the agency today.
Carrie Simcocks joined as an agent in 1985, and became a partner in 1990. Kelly Andrews joined the company in 2008 – not long after Barry’s retirement and shortly before his passing. While Carrie no longer forms part of the day-to-day operations she remains a partner in the company.
The agency is, and has been for many years, a very active member of The PMA (Personal Manager’s Association).
We are voting members of BAFTA.
Daughter of an established actress, Kate Williams, Kelly trained at Mountview as a Stage Manager, before making an early career change. She started her training as an agent in a junior role at Jonathan Altaras Associates Ltd.
Kelly stayed with JAA for some years before a short spell as an industry locum took her to Markham & Froggatt Ltd. where she stayed for seven years.
After starting her own business, Andrews Hamilton Ltd. in 2004, she subsequently joined the BS&A family.
Kelly is assisted by Jamie Rowlands.
If you wish to contact the office about representation, please see the details on our contact page.
Carrie left the Isle of Man with every intention of becoming a teacher but after three years at Homerton College, Cambridge where she spent most of her time at the ADC and in The Footlights, she forgot about teaching and moved to London to pursue a career in the theatre.
After a brief stint in the West End playing Owl to Maureen Lipman’s, & then Amanda Barrie’s, Meg in “The Meg & Mog Show”, a very timely offer of work with Barry Brown came her way in 1985. This was the start of a long, and well respected partnership known by the clients as ‘The Barry & Carrie Show’.
Whilst attending PMA meetings on behalf of the agency, Carrie met, and subsequently married, the then Chair of the PMA, David Wilkinson.
